Diddy’s former bodyguard Gene Deal made the claims while appearing on The Art of Dialogue. In the interview, he claimed that Diddy said Will and Jada were trying to “scoop up” Jennifer Lopez from him while they dated.

“We were at a birthday party that I think Matt Damon was giving for Ben Affleck. It was just a little gathering at the Four Seasons,” Deal recalled.

“Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, Puff, Will Smith, and Jada were sitting on [one] side of the room.

“[Puff] stood up. And when he stood up, he walked and did his arms a certain kind of way like [crossing them]. I go over towards him and he said to me, ‘Yo, I think Will and Jada are trying to scoop up Jennifer. I want you to stay close ’cause I’ma snuff him.’”

Gene Deal chuckled as he remembered a moment when he thought Will Smith might have a good chance of giving Diddy a good beating, despite acknowledging that Diddy could hold his own in a fight.

Meanwhile, in an interview on Today, Jada Smith disclosed that she and Will have been living separately since 2016, even though they haven’t officially divorced.

Diddy paused for a few seconds and responded: “This show has gotten crazier since the last time I was here.”

“No, you really heard that?” he said, as Kimmel responded: “Yeah, I watched it on the internet. You’re telling me I can’t believe everything I read?“

Diddy concluded: “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Jimmy, I thought we was friends. Where did this interview just go?”

It’s not sure when exactly the alleged clash took place, but Diddy and Jennifer Lopez dated between late 1999 and early 2001 following their meeting on a music video set; so it was most likely within that time frame.
