WSJ. Magazine has an exclusive interview with Angelina Jolie. Here, the woman born in 1975 shares about her current life as well as her future plans.

Angelina admitted that she has no social life and is not dating anyone. The people closest to her currently are her 6 children – Maddox (22 years old), Pax Thien (20 years old), Sahara (18 years old), Shiloh (17 years old) and twins Knox and Vivienne (15 years old).

“They are the people closest to me and my life. They are also my best friends. We are 7 very different people. That is our strength,” the 7X star said.

In addition, Angelina also has another spiritual support in the form of a close group of female friends. She described it as a group of six women, all refugees and four of them coming out of war and conflict.

According to Angelina, the persistent divorce battle with Brad Pitt not only left her and her children with wounds that are difficult to heal, but also prevented her from doing the things she likes.

“That’s part of what happened after my divorce. I lost the ability to live and move freely,” she confided.

The By The Sea star emphasized that she will move out as soon as possible. To her, Hollywood is a “pretty shallow” and “unhealthy” place.

While everyone dreams of Hollywood, Angelina grew up in that environment so she clearly sees the nature of life in the world’s cinema capital. “I never considered it meaningful and important,” said the mother of six children.

One destination Angelina wants to spend more time in is Cambodia. Over two decades working with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Southeast Asian country is one of the places she has visited to do charity work, along with Tanzania, Sierra Leone and Pakistan. Cambodia is even more special to the actress as this is the hometown of her eldest son Maddox. In addition, the beauty lived here for a while to film First They Killed My Father (2017).

When asked about the reason for not appearing much in the Hollywood spotlight in recent years, only starring in 5 movies in the 7 years after the divorce, Angelina briefly explained: “We have to heal our wounds. There are things We need to heal.”

Brad Pitt’s ex-wife admitted that if she could start over, she might not choose to become an actress – following in the footsteps of her parents Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. The beauty said that becoming a celebrity means her private life is exposed to the public, and she has to share personal secrets that she wants to keep private.

However, according to the Without Blood director, retiring from acting does not mean she will stop working completely. She asserted that she couldn’t stop and always felt like there was a fight coming.

It’s unclear when Angelina will give up acting and Hollywood, but it certainly won’t be in the next few years. During the interview, she “revealed” that she would continue to play the main villain in Disney’s Maleficent 3.
