16-year-old golfer Kris Kim makes his PGA Tour debut at the 2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson

After the fan attraction for 15-year-old golfer Miles Russell with the record of youngest golfer to pass the cut at the Korn Ferry Tour, the focus is on 16-year-old golfer Kris Kim.

Kris Kim – a 16-year-old golfer from England will make his PGA Tour debut this week at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson under the sponsor’s special slot. Kris Kim is currently an amateur golfer ranked 364 in the world. In 2023, Kim was the one who defeated Russell 5&4 in the singles match at the Junior Ryder Cup. In addition, this year Kim won the R&A Boys’ Amateur Championship, European Boys Individual Championship and McGregor Trophy.

Kris Kim shared: “I learned this information last week and since then I have been in a cloud. The joy is indescribable.”

Kim became the first amateur golfer sponsored by CJ Group last May. Managed by Trinifold Sports, Kim also became the first European amateur golfer to sign an endorsement deal with Under Armor and the first British golfer to sign with TaylorMade.
