Prepare to be inspired, Colorado Buffaloes fans! The head coach, renowned for his pep talks, is gearing up for the Spring season.
Armed with his unique brand of motivation, Deion Sanders is ready to ignite the Colorado roster. And what better way to fuel his squad than by drawing on the rich history of the NFL?
As Sanders revealed in one of the enlightening discussion sessions, the Buffaloes coaching staff’s combined experience in the NFL totals an impressive 127 years. This unparalleled depth of experience places the Buffaloes at the forefront of the NCAA regarding NFL knowledge and expertise.
Deion Sanders’ vocal tonic ahead of spring
Deion Sanders took refuge in a master plan to propel the Buffs players to deliver their best. He inculcated his speech with the brilliant use of numbers. Taking a class for the players, Coach Prime shared a lesser-known anecdote. He threw a random question at the players: “What was the number of professional experience that we have on the staff?”
Deion Sanders proudly boasted, “So you got 127 years of NFL experience in this room. Been there, done that. You could glean from anybody that everybody’s here is an asset. Helping you to get to where you want to go.” This may be a moral boost for the players after they know they are in expert hands. Besides, Coach Prime chose to load the coaching staff roster with big names having prior experience in the NFL.
Touch of NFL in the current Buffs roster
The Pro Football Hall of Famer, Warren Sapp, joined Sanders’ Buffaloes as a grad assistant. Sapp has spent 13 seasons in the NFL and has finished his career with a record of 96 ½ sacks. His guidance will come to use for Colorado in making the transition to the Big 12 in the upcoming spring season.
Sanders even brought Pat Shurmur into the Buffaloes squad as the offensive coordinator. The coach has 21 long seasons in the NFL, including 11 years as head coach or offensive coordinator. Besides, Coach Prime successfully brought Robert Livingston to Colorado as the new defensive coordinator. He started out as a scout for the Cincinnati Bengals and made a winning record in two of the past three seasons, including a Super Bowl run in 2021.
This has been partly about the present roster of the Colorado Buffaloes. More legends who shared NFL experience before moving into the Buffaloes will emerge if we travel back in time. It is now to be seen how the present Buffs’ players’ roster uses this guidance and implements it in the field.
