Jelly Roll apparently received a big-time scare on his way to this weekend’s CMT Music Awards.

His wife, Bunnie Xo shared a video to TikTok, sitting with a group looking concerned, and captioned it, “When the private jet you’re in just stopped mid air, turned around & said we had to emergency land because of a malfunction.”

At one point she added that, while the group landed, they were faced with possibly having to get back on the malfunctioning plane. Apparently, it all worked itself out and the big fella will be at Sunday’s show where he has been nominated for three awards and is scheduled to perform.

The artist made a splash this past weekend at the iHeartRadio Music Awards where he performed alongside Lainey Wilson before collecting “Best new Artist Pop,” and “Best New Artist Country.”

He then drew a standing ovation from the crowd with his speech.

“To be one of the voices coming through your radio and to be the best new country artist and represent country music and the best new pop artist, you want to know what it means to a kid like me?” he said. “I was thinking about it, ‘What does it mean when a guy like me gets the opportunity to be the new pop artists of the year?’ It means that God will always use the least likely messenger with the biggest message every single time.

“You can take that to the bank, baby,” he continued. “I love you Jesus, and I love you Bunnie, my wife. Thank you for everything. My daughter, Bailee Ann, I hope you’re watching. I’m coming home, baby. We did it.”
