Xavier Worthy’s candid reaction to the Chiefs’ locker room has the internet rolling over the floor laughing

Xavier Worthy was the fastest player at the NFL Combine early in March.
Anyone could say that Xavier Worthy is a very lucky guy. The former University of Texas wide receiver was selected 28th overall by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2024 NFL Draft and will have a chance to make history if the team achieves the three-peat. However, his most recent visit to the team facilities may be making the player doubt.
Team owner Clark Hunt struck a last-minute deal with the Buffalo Bills to get Worthy. However, it seems that no one warned the player about what he would find at the Chiefs facilities, and the former Longhorn got a not-very-pleasant surprise.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, you can see the player being flabbergasted when seeing the locker rooms and training facilities at Arrowhead Stadium.
Worthy’s expression says more than a thousand words, and fans and media speculate that his amazement is due to the contrast between the Chiefs’ modest facility and the Texas Longhorns’ state-of-the-art locker room.

The memes and reactions from Internet users were immediate. “The facilities downgrade from Texas to Kansas City has to be a culture shock,” commented an X, formerly Twitter, user.
Someone else captioned Worthy’s thoughts in the video “So, this really y’all’s locker room, huh. Cool, cool, cool…” and another netizen immediately responded: “Haha, that’s what I was thinking, he definitely looked underwhelmed.”
However, others defended the team: “Winning titles will be a new thing for him too,” “It seems like those facilities have been working just fine for them,” and “I think the Super Bowl trophies and Patrick make up for it,” were some of the comments in favor of the Chiefs.
The bad rating for the Chiefs
In a survey conducted this offseason by the NFL Players Association, the Chiefs owner received an F- grade, the lowest possible, due to his reluctance to renovate the team’s facilities. The locker rooms, in particular, were the worst evaluated in the league.
In contrast, the University of Texas recently invested $7 million to renovate the football team’s locker room. This is why Worthy might be so shocked by the state of his new squad’s locker room.
