Suge Knight Says Snoop Dogg Is Responsible For 2Pac’s “Downfall” And D.e.a.t.h

Suge Knight continues his vendetta against Snoop Dogg, this time placing the blame for Tupac Shakur’s “downfall” on the West Coast rap legend’s shoulders.

While addressing Drake’s usage of A.I. generated vocals resembling Shakur and Snoop’s voices on “Taylor Made,” his new diss record aimed at Kendrick Lamar, the Death Row cofounder took the opportunity to speak ill of Snoop.

“Young people do what young people do,” Knight said of the Canadian rapper’s retort, which garnered a mixed reaction, on the latest episode of his Collect Call podcast.

“It’s y’all turn, but regarding the homie ‘Pac, he wasn’t no chump,” the incarcerated rap mogul continued. “Putting him on a song and dissing Kendrick [Lamar] for everybody entertainment — that ain’t how it go.”

Knight seemed particularly miffed at Drake placing A.I. vocals resembling Snoop’s voice alongside Pac’s, as he believes that Tha Doggfather played a role in the late rap icon’s demise and was “jealous” of his labelmate.

“Then putting him on a song with Snoop, who was a part of his downfall and exit, ain’t ever a good look,” Knight added. “Pac was a king on that chessboard. He never was a pawn, so he can’t make him be a pawn now.”

Last year, during an episode of Collect Call, the Compton, Ca., native addressed Snoop’s alliance with Sean “Diddy” Combs, Knight’s arch rival during the height of Death Row Records’ and Combs’ Bad Boy Records’ respective reigns.

According to Suge, Snoop’s allegiance with the CEO of late rap star The Notorious B.I.G., Pac’s rival prior to his death, is in conflict with his professed love and respect for Shakur. “As far as the Puffy situation, I really, really, really gotta have a real conversation with Snoop,” he said.

“I knew that Pac did everything right by him by putting him on All Eyez On Me, speaking about him and being real with him. And if it’s true what they say, face-to-face it’s gonna be a lot of explaining to do.”

Knight is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter in 2018. He is eligible for parole in October 2034.
