Caleb Williams’ secret romance. Who is the mysterious Valery Orellana?
The girlfriend of the top prospect of the 2024 Draft studies arts and journalism.
Caleb Williams (L) and Valery Orellana met during their high school days.
Caleb Williams is the #1 prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft and, as such, his sports career and connections have been scrutinized from every possible angle. Despite this, one part of his personal life has been spared from this intense scrutiny: His relationship with Valery Orellana.
Williams was born on November 18, 2001, to Carl Williams and Dayne Price. He attended Gonzaga College High School, spending his first year of college in Oklahoma and the remaining three years at the University of Southern California (USC).
Although he has managed to keep his personal life relatively out of the spotlight, the future Chicago Bears quarterback has found it impossible to hide his relationship with Orellana. The young art student at the Hussman School has been an indispensable part of the quarterback’s support system in the dizzying months leading up to the draft.
Who is Valery Orellana?
There is no official timeline for the relationship between Orellana and Williams. From what can be seen on the former USC Trojan’s Instagram profile, their courtship would have begun around October 2020, the date on which they published their first photo together on the way to the prom.
Orellana attended a different school than Williams, Richard Montgomery High School, so it is unclear how they met. Additionally, while he played football for Oklahoma and USC, she has been studying Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts at the Hussman School of Media.
According to various media, what would have brought the lovebirds together was her love for sports. Although Valery has not been seen at Caleb’s games, she is a regular visitor to the stadiums, always supporting her school teams.
Valery, the activist
Orellana’s LinkedIn profile also reveals several interesting aspects of her life. Among others, she is a co-founder of Evenin’ Out The Playing Field, an organization that aims to increase the participation of people of color in predominantly white sports.
The organization’s goal is “to increase diversity and inclusion with free clinics that bridge the gap of accessibility.”
With the draft just hours away, we may see Williams and Orellana together in the spotlight for the first time. In his X, formerly Twitter, account, the quarterback teased the big day: “Wait till yall see draft day suit and my ladies dress. 1 of 1s.”
