“Hurts My Heart to Hear This”: NFL World Unites for Michael Strahan’s 19YO Daughter Isabella’s Sufferings Amid Delayed Chemotherapy

There is so much besides the 2024 NFL Draft, but not everything seems exciting. For NFL legend Michael Strahan and his daughter, Isabella, things have been pretty tough lately.

Post her diagnosis of cancer, his 19-year-old daughter has to go through both emotional and physical turmoil as her chemotherapy gets delayed. She has shared every step of her treatment with NFL fans through her YouTube vlog, which has left them crestfallen.

Tough times for the Strahan family 

The University of California student revealed on Friday 12 that her second round of chemotherapy had been delayed. Strahan’s daughter, who also happens to be a model, shared the reason for the delay to be an unexpected third craniotomy. Being emotionally devastated, Isabella shared her experience, “Not gonna lie, I’ve been crying a lot. I’m in a lot of pain. It literally hurts to do anything.”

It was back in October 2023 that Strahan’s daughter had to undergo emergency surgery to remove a large medulloblastoma that was a type of malignant tumor seated deep in her cerebellum. Since then, anytime she catches a fever over 100.4, she must be rushed to the hospital.

During her stay at the hospital, Isabella had to undergo chemotherapy and had to undergo three surgeries back-to-back. Besides the surgery, she has been going through a painful journey with two IVs, a PICC line, and a chemotherapy port attached to herself. But the fans’ prayers for the Strahan family make her strong with every passing day.

Prayers from fans pour in for Isabella

The teen’s disappointing setback amid her battle against a brain tumor left the fans worried about Strahan’s daughter’s health. The former defensive end of the New York Giants has garnered a huge fan base during his career who now chooses to come together and motivate the player in his tough times. For sports podcast host Edgar Woo, this news breaks his heart as he sends his prayers, “Hurts my heart to hear this man. Praying for his family.”

Another fan prayed for Isabella’s quick recovery and wished for the family’s tough times to get over soon, “So sad to see this type of stuff. Prayers to her and his family.” A fan confirmed how the entire NFL community is beside Strahan and Isabella in this tough time, “W ML. Prayers up for Isabella the entire NFL community routing for you.”

While others sent prayers, one of the fans motivated Strahan’s daughter to emerge victorious, “Dammit come on woman you got this! I pray in Jesus name you heal!!!!” Hopes continue to reign within fans, as one of them commented, “My goodness praying for this girl cancer sucks so bad, there has to be someone that can figure out a cure. Prayers from my family to your family.”

As Strahan’s daughter continues to update day-to-day proceedings of her treatment from the hospital bed, she has an entire troop rallying for her. She has yet to complete two more rounds of chemotherapy and is excited to enjoy her summer before attending college. Isabella is going to win this battle, for sure.
