Now that Cameron Diaz has taken action, the rumors that she wanted to leave acting after collaborating with Jamie Foxx can finally be put to rest.

Diaz famously took a long break from acting from 2018 to 2022, taking away from the spotlight to make her life “more manageable,” according to reports.

Reportedly sick of filming nonstop, Diaz made a triumphant comeback last year to star in the action comedy Back in Action after a hiatus.

According to some stories, Diaz was determined to stop acting once more, and it was all because of Foxx’s actions while filming. There was a great deal of consternation when news of Foxx’s alleged mistreatment of Diaz spread at the same time as the actor’s mysterious sickness, which necessitated a lengthy hospital stay.

But now Diaz has spoken out, denying the accusations that Foxx had been “making everything miserable and that I was never gonna make another movie again because of him.” She said that she couldn’t believe people were saying such a thing.

Listening to the Lipstick on the Rim podcast, Diaze, who is 51 years old, expressed her strong dislike for the criticism directed towards their show during that period. “What on earth are you talking about?” is something you want to shout out loud.

Jamie is like the crew’s biggest advocate, the Shrek actress went on to say. He is adored by all. On set, we always crack up laughing at his antics, and he’s a true expert in his field.

“Jamie is the best. I love that guy so much. He’s such a special person and he’s so talented, so much fun.”

This month, Foxx, meantime, provided an update on his health. The 55-year-old actor made his first public appearance since his December 4 hospitalization and stated:

“I want to thank everybody. I’ve been through something, I’ve been through some things. It’s crazy, I couldn’t do that six months ago. I couldn’t actually walk.”
