Bronny James, son of Lakers star LeBron James, was one of 78 players invited to the NBA combine.
The combine usually brings in a majority of the players that will be taken in the NBA Draft, although there are only 60 picks.
This year is a first, that if you decline a combine invite, you are ineligible to be drafted.
Exceptions exist, with the biggest being competing for another professional team overseas in the middle of their season, such is the case for Zaccharie Risacher and Nikola Topic, who are both projected to be top-10 picks.
In ESPN’s latest mock draft, Bronny was not chosen in the first round.

Bronny is also in the transfer portal alongside testing the NBA Draft waters this month
The 19-year-old James played in 25 games for USC this season, only averaging 19.4 minutes per game.
He did not light up the stat sheet with the Trojans, as he did at powerhouse Sierra Canyon High School. James only averaged 4.8 points per game and 2.8 rebounds per game.
Andy Enfield, Bronny’s freshman-year coach at USC, has since taken the helm at SMU and Eric Musselman is now in charge of the Trojans. In addition to testing the NBA Draft waters, James has also put his name into the transfer portal.
It has been a long stated goal of LeBron James to play with his son in the NBA. And with the Lakers legend turning 40 in December, there is a small window for that to happen.
The elder James has not shown many physical signs of slowing down, averaging 25.7 points this past season, good enough for 13th in the NBA.
James will have a season No 22 in the NBA and he has until June to make a decision on next year.
He can either opt into a $51.4million deal, the second year of a $99million contract he signed before this season. Or, James can become a free agent and possibly play for a fourth NBA team.
The combine will be held May 12-19 in Chicago, with the first round of the NBA Draft taking place on June 26 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The second round takes place June 27 from Manhattan.
