Clark was offered over $15 million with incentives built into the contract to further her gain.

The offer included a $10 million salary over two years plus a percentage of ownership in her team.

She also reportedly was offered half of merch revenue and a stake in a Big3 documentary that came with a seven-figure advance.

Big3 co-founder Jeff Kwatinetz wrote an article for Outkick, in which he implied that he thinks Clark was never informed about the offer.

“We have reason to believe these male agents and executives controlling the sport never even shared our trailblazing offer with Caitlin let alone facilitated Caitlin meeting with the BIG3 to discuss the opportunity,” Kwatinetz wrote.

“From our perspective, these representatives don’t seem to work for an individual client like Caitlin. They seem to work for the NBA mob, as their client list is a who’s who of NBA players.”

Clark certainly would have made a higher base salary in the Big3 league, earning $5 million versus her $78,000 WNBA salary.

However, she will definitely be broadcast on national television much more with the Indiana Fever than she would have been in the Big3 league.

The Fever are scheduled to play 36 games on national television which will keep Clark in the eye of prospective sponsors who will boost her income.

Those sponsors have already come knocking as well, with Nike signing Clark to a massive deal.

Nike is paying Clark $28 million over eight years to be their newest WNBA athlete.

The $3.5 million per year she will be earning with Nike is almost 45 times her $78,000 WNBA salary.

Clark is also going to get her own signature shoe as part of the deal, something that fellow WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu has achieved as well.

The No. 1 overall pick also had negotiations with Under Armour, Adidas, and Puma, but none of them came anywhere close to Nike’s offer.
