The 2023 rookie class is already getting under Draymond’s skin
No. 1 overall NBA Draft pick Victor Wembanyama is taking the league by storm, and he already has the attention of one of The Association‘s elder statesmen, Draymond Green.

The vocal Golden State Warriors forward admitted his disdain for the entire 2023 NBA rookie class, but singled out Wemby, because they are getting in the way of an honor that Green wants to keep for himself.

“When you look at this rookie class, it doesn’t really look like a rookie class,” Green said in a video posted by Warriors on

The 12-year veteran said he was proud and happy to see young players coming into the NBA with a focus on defense instead of just scoring.

In addition to Wembanyama, Ausar Thompson and Amen Thompson, Green complimented the play of Pistons rookie Marcus Sasser and the two rookies on the Warriors, Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jakson-Davis.
