According to the details of the book (that proves that Barbie is, in fact, the ultimate calling for Robbie), it is titled Barbie: The World Tour, and is written by none other than the real-life Barbie, i.e. Margot Robbie, and her stylist, Andrew Mukamal.
As shared by Rizzoli, since the press tour for 2023’s Barbie was cut short due to the actors’ and writers’ strikes, the creators of this book couldn’t bring to public display all the countless iconic looks and outfits they drew up after getting inspired by the Mattel doll.
Thus, the producer of Barbie and her stylist would be serving all these looks and outfits that they brought to life with the help of multiple top-rated designers and the renowned fashion photographer Craig McDean, through this very book.
Rizzoli further describes the other elements that will be enclosed in this book, which include “original Barbie dolls from the period, a treasure trove of rare materials from Mattel’s Barbie fashion archives, and the designers’ sketches and Polaroids from fittings” in the 160-paged book.
All in all, this much-awaited book, which will notably be released on the 19th of March, 2024, by Rizzoli, will reportedly blend “the serious chic of high fashion with the serious fun of Barbie world—the dolls, the history, and the style that have captured imaginations for 65 years.”
