NBA legend Michael Jordan has landed yet another trophy for his collection, this time in Florida.

A company with ties to the basketball great is the new owner of a contemporary estate in area of Jupiter in the sunshine state, according to Realtor.

The deal reportedly closed for $26.24m (US$17m).

The mansion hit the market last November for US$18.5m, so the man known as ‘His Airness’ may have scored himself quite the deal.

The property marks MJ’s second purchase in the Bears Club golf community in Jupiter.

The gated enclave of just 61 homes on nearly 160ha boasts a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course and is about a 2km from the beach.

The 845 sqm home promises “luxury living” – boasting five bedrooms, a four-car garage, guesthouse, and club room.

There are also a huge family room, dining areas, and sleek kitchen. Other details include a wet bar, home gym, and a main bedroom that opens directly out to the garden.

Set on almost more than 4,000 sqm, the grounds are equally impressive, with a pool, spa, covered outdoor dining area, and an open-air kitchen.

Having said that, it is actually a smaller property than Jordan’s other home in the upscale community is a much larger place— which is a 2,601 mansion that has a basketball court, gym, and a guardhouse.

Despite being one of the best winners of all time, the former Chicago Bulls star still hasn’t managed to make a winning deal on his beloved home-team house.

Jordan departed his Illinois property years ago, but he still hasn’t sold the pad that he had custom built in 1995.

This massive spread, located Highland Park, has been on and off the market since 2012 at various price points. Over a decade later, it’s still available for $22.93m (US$14,855m).

Jordan’s number adorns the front gate, and his likeness is littered all over the property.

The 5,200 sqm estate is equipped with “every conceivable luxury amenity,” including a regulation-size basketball court, circular infinity pool, putting green, tennis court, 14-car garage, and cigar room.
