CAITLIN CLARK ‘COULD’VE HAD CAREER IN SOCCER’ CLAIMS HER DAD AS EX-IOWA STAR’S INSANE HIGH SCHOOL STATS ARE REVEALED.kf

CAITLIN Clark has taken women’s basketball to new heights.

But according to her dad Brent, the hoop superstar, 22, could have taken a different path entirely.

Clark’s high school soccer stats recently went viral thanks to the WSJ’s Rachel Bachman.

With 23 goals in just 13 games, the Indiana Fever guard was just as dominant on grass as she was in college ball.

“Quite frankly, and I’m not trying to brag about it, but I think she probably could have been the same sort of talent in soccer that she is in basketball,” her father told the Des Moines Register.

“She could have been on USA, junior-national type teams.

“It was one of those deals where you had to tell Caitlin to stop scoring so many goals.

“She didn’t quite understand that whole concept. In her mind, the object is to score.”

Clark’s scoring prowess is how she made the name but she also led the nation in assists with Iowa last season after racking up 170.

And some believe her background in soccer helps her see angles other players cannot.

“Does it need to be a bounce pass? Does it need to be to her left hand or her right hand? Does it need to be right to her collarbone? Or do I need to pass it up high? Big Ten Network analyst Christy Winters-Scott said.

“Caitlin has, in a split second, the awareness and the ability to make the proper pass. That is an elite level skill not everyone has.”

Clark may have been a huge success on the soccer field but it is hard to imagine her making more of an impact than she has on the court.

She was drafted first overall by Indiana Fever after inspiring a meteoric rise in popularity of the women’s collegiate game.

Clark joins the Fever on a four-year deal worth $338,056.

And Kay Adams was been left stunned by her reported Nike deal.

During an appearance on Adams’ FanDuel TV show Up And Adams, The Athletics’ Shams Charania went into detail about Clark’s monster package.

“It’s fair to say that it’s above $20 million.”

He explained that she had met with Adidas, Nike, and Under Armour.

“I’m told the plan in that scenario would have been for her to be a part of Under Armour and Curry Brand, and possibly wear Curry Brand,” Charania said.

Clark decided to stick with Nike after working with them at Iowa.

When pushed for specifics on the deal, Charania said he believed “it’s fair to say that it’s above $20million.”

Adams was visibly stunned, giving her team a “shoutout.”

He added that Clark’s deal, which will include her own signature shoe, is “a multi-year contract, so it’s going to be at least four or five years.”
