The New York Jes are headed into a new season that is looking better than ever, and we are not discussing the roster upgrade.

Owner Woody Johnson and the organization announced the team would have new uniforms and that they would come sometime in April. On Monday, the New York Jets owner came through and dropped the new threads.

This highly anticipated move has returned the team to their 80’s throwbacks while dropping another uniform as well.

The team dropped the new jerseys and logo taking inspiration from the 1980s Sack Exchange era.

Last season, the New York Jets debuted the white-jersey, white-pants “Legacy Collection” combination as an alternate uniform, so they continued with that set by adding the corresponding designs in green and black to make the switch permanent. The “Legacy White” uniform combination is from their 1978-1989 stretch that saw New York reach the AFC Championship game once in 1982, according to Newyorkjets.com.

The New York Jets Are Hoping To Have A Super Bowl Run After 1st Year Was Derailed

Last offseason, the New York Jets traded for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and things quickly went downhill four plays into the season as he suffered a torn Achilles, and his season would be over.

Aaron Rodgers was carted off the field, and so were the hopes that the team would have a good year.

The injury forced the Jets to recalibrate their expectations and hope for at least a run to the playoffs, but inconsistent play from Zach Wilson led to mounting losses and him being benched once again.

Fast forward to now, and Aaron Rodgers is still on the road to recovery and will be 100% by the time the new season begins.
