Dallas, TX — Leaked dashcam footage has thrust Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice into the spotlight following a multi-vehicle collision in Dallas. The incident occurred on Saturday evening on the 6600 block of North Central Expressway, near the Lovers Lane exit. Here are the details:

The Crash: According to preliminary investigations by the Dallas Police Department (DPD), two vehicles—a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini—were speeding in the far left lane of the highway. Both drivers lost control of their vehicles, resulting in a chain reaction involving four more vehicles. In total, six vehicles were caught up in the collision.

Fleeing the Scene: Shockingly, the occupants of the Lamborghini and Corvette fled the scene before police arrived. They neither provided insurance information nor checked on the well-being of other victims. The dashcam footage obtained by WFAA corroborates this account, showing three men walking away from the Lamborghini SUV after it came to a stop on the highway.

Injuries: Dallas Fire Rescue teams treated two drivers at the scene for minor injuries. Additionally, two occupants from another involved vehicle were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Rice’s Involvement: Sources indicate that one of the speeding vehicles was registered in Rashee Rice’s name. The Lamborghini and Corvette were allegedly street racing at the time of the accident. As of now, Dallas County jail records do not show Rice having been booked.

Background: Rice, a standout receiver during his four seasons at Southern Methodist University (SMU), was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. His impressive senior season included 96 catches for 1,355 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, earning him second-team AP All-American honors.
