Country music icon Martina McBride recently offered some candid advice to global superstar Beyoncé during a radio interview. McBride, known for her powerhouse vocals and authenticity in the country music scene, didn’t mince words when discussing Beyoncé’s foray into the country genre.

Với 33 tượng vàng, Beyoncé là nghệ sĩ thắng nhiều nhất trong lịch sử, nhưng chưa thắng Album of the Year lần nào

In the interview, McBride remarked, “Take off the hat and stop pretending you’re country – you’re not.” Her words echoed the sentiments of many traditional country music fans who have questioned Beyoncé’s authenticity in the genre.

Beyoncé, known for her versatility across various music genres, dipped her toes into country music with collaborations such as “Daddy Lessons” from her album “Lemonade.” The track featured elements of country music, including banjo and fiddle, and received mixed reactions from country music purists.

She’s over 50 and still one of the hottest women in country, so her opinion matters. To real country ladies like Martina, the thought of Beyonce starting out at the top just seems wrong:

“What kind of person has a single song that does okay and then suddenly they’re at the top of the charts?” Martina asked, allegedly, “How is it that she gets to skip the hard parts, like playing in seedy nightclubs and pretending to be interested in producers just to get someone to listen? It’s not fair.”

She’s right, patriots. Surely a young black woman in R&B Soul with Destiny’s Child when she still basically qualified as one was a walk in the park. And now she just has her husband pay her way. That’s how privilege really works in America.

The bottom line is that if someone else suffered, she should too. That’s the way things work in a constitutional republic. God Bless America.
