Jerry Jones’ reaction during the Cowboys’ loss to the Packers seemed to prove that the team would be making a sudden move with Mike McCarthy.

The Dallas Cowboys fanbase has been waiting to hear from Jerry Jones on the status of Mike McCarthy, and they got it today.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Cowboys were not making a move at the head coaching position and McCarthy was there to stay.

Moving on from McCarthy would probably mean an entirely new coaching staff. And that’s something that is probably too risky for Jerry, who turned 81 in October.

That means Bill Belichick is certainly not coming to Dallas, nor any other big-name coach.

The Cowboys have not reached a conference championship game in 29 years.

They’ve endured 13 playoff exits, including a stunning blowout loss to the Packers on Sunday. Somehow, McCarthy is safe.
