Former NBA Star Lamar Odom Offers Travis Kelce Some Valuable Advice About His Relationship With Taylor Swift
Former NBA star Lamar Odom offered some relationship advice for Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce.
Odom, after all, knows exactly what it’s like to date an A-lister celebrity. The former Los Angeles Lakers fan favorite was married to Khloé Kardashian from 2009 to 2016, and their relationship was documented on the short-lived reality TV series Khloé & Lamar.
Kelce is dating Grammy Award-winning singer Taylor Swift. Their relationship has been a hot topic of discussion around the NFL world, with Swift even attending several of the Chiefs’ games this year.
Speaking to Arash Markazi of The Messenger, Odom gave some important relationship advice for the 34-year-old Kelce:
“My advice would be to be strong and stay by her and be as close to her as possible,” he said. “There are going to be millions of women that want to taste what Taylor Swift is tasting and it can be overwhelming because we’re men. He just has to be strong and stick by his girl and he’ll be alright.”
Odom played in the NBA from 1999 to 2013, winning back-to-back NBA Championship with Kobe Bryant’s Lakers in 2009 and 2010. Named to the All-Rookie First Team in 2000, Odom was also named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2011.
Kelce is in his 11th season with the Chiefs. The two-time Super Bowl champion is having another excellent year for the defending Super Bowl champions, recording 70 receptions for 732 yards and five touchdowns.
The Chiefs, who enter Week 13 with an 8-3 record, are looking to become the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls since the 2003 and ’04 New England Patriots. The Chiefs visit Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers this Sunday.
