Jason Kelce’s family is at the heart of every decision he makes.

In a scene from Kelce — the feature-length Prime Video documentary that follows the Philadelphia Eagles center, 35, through the 2022-2023 season — wife Kylie Kelce shows that the injuries the NFL star sustains on the field impact his life at home as well.

“I don’t think people realize the beating you’re taking then impacts the way you interact with your family,” she says in a confessional.

Jason plays with toddler daughters Elliotte, 2, and Wyatt, 3, when Kylie, 31, tells her oldest, who throws herself around as she sings the team’s cheer, that she needs to give her dad a break, “because dad did a lot of hard work yesterday.”

“He’s been telling me for years that he was going to retire and now we are expecting our third daughter,” she adds.

“I always tell people that no matter what happens with football, how it ends, I would like him to retire when he’s still able to get down on the floor and play with our kids comfortably.”

In addition to Elliotte and Wyatt, the couple is also parents to daughter Bennett Llewellyn, 6 months.

Jason has shown he makes time for his daughters no matter the time of year, being spotted earlier this summer playing with the older pair on the field after training camp.

“@jason.kelce always stays late after practice to play with his daughters 💚,” they captioned the video, captured by CBS’ Jeff Kerr.

While most people found the moment endearing, a few commenters suggested that the center was just passively “playing fetch” with his daughters.

Kylie responded by reposting the video on her Instagram Story. “People in these comments saying ‘He’s playing fetch with his kids like they are dogs!’” she wrote.

“Just say you don’t have toddlers,” she continued. “If you listen, you can hear him counting. So technically, they are racing.”

She also added a silly goose sticker to the post.
