Being asked ‘do you like women?’ In the new movie, Leonardo DiCaprio cannot answer for a very special reason

In the movie ‘Blood Moon’ directed by Martin Scorsese, when asked by Robert De Niro’s character if he likes women, Leo’s character replies that it is his “weakness”.

The movie Killers of the Flower Moon has just released a new trailer, revealing a conversation between William Hale (played by Robert De Niro) and Ernest Burkhart (played by Leonardo DiCaprio). Built here are two uncles and nephews, when William asked: “Do you like women?”, Leo’s character Ernest said: “That is my weakness”. This answer entails an arranged love affair between a white boy and a girl from the Indian tribe (played by Lily Gladstone).

The film tells the story of members of the Osage tribe in Oklahoma who were mysteriously murdered in the 1920s, creating a major investigation for the newly formed FBI. The work is based on the best-selling book by David Grann, with a script written jointly by Eric Roth and director Martin Scorsese.

In the early 20th century, oil brought enormous wealth to the Osage people. This “black gold” helps the tribe living here surpass everyone, becoming one of the richest people in the world overnight. The wealth of the Osage people in America immediately attracted other white people. These people come here in large numbers, manipulating, extorting and wanting to take away as much money as possible from the Osage, bringing with them their “lifestyles” of playing, gambling, partying… Greed is increasing day by day. Bigger, those in power began to consider turning the wealth here into theirs entirely, even though this would create a “tragedy”. Knowing clearly these plans, the white guy Ernest still fell in love with a girl from the Osage tribe – Mollie.

The new trailer shows Ernest Burkhart and the emotional journey he will go through as he is trapped between two opposing forces in the story. When war hero Ernest returned home, his uncle William Hale, plotting to infiltrate the lands of the Osage community, “suggested” marrying a girl from the tribe who owned the Osage tribe. a stretch of land with enough oil to make them unimaginably rich. While Ernest gets closer and closer to Mollie’s family, Hale also begins to gradually implement his plan to gain control. Things become more complicated when multiple murders begin to mysteriously take place across the land.

When Ernest and Mollie’s relationship reached the stage of marriage, the gunshots became more frequent. The murders here also caused an investigation organization in the US to get involved. The Osage tribe began to realize that the situation was getting serious, with so many people dying that it was “uncountable” and decided to protest. A terrible explosion took place before Ernest’s eyes. The conflict on the Osage was becoming brutal and out of control. Ernest stands between two opposing sides, but they are both family. No matter what choice he makes, he cannot avoid regret.

Based on a true event and told through the relationship between Ernest Burkhart and Mollie Kyle, Killers of the Flower Moon is a crime epic, but also a story of when love is interrupted by betrayal. multiple.

“Ernest and Mollie really represents how confusing and complicated these things are, culturally,” Leonardo said in a statement about the film. “A lot of Osage women married white men who actually came to hunt them down to take over their headship and take their oil money.”
