Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 comedy-drama brought the actors closer. Of course, they put in remarkable performances in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, but behind the scenes and in their personal life, things were much different.

Speaking with WTF with Marc Maron Podcast, Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt candidly revealed a few details of their personal life. Knowing that paparazzi have shifted their attention from DiCaprio, Pitt said, “I’m a little disgruntled with you now that I hear that” (via Far Out Magazine). For the most part of his Hollywood career, Pitt was surrounded by paparazzi and the press, and he found it hard to get out of the pit of enormous attention.

“I’m just, like, trash mag fodder,” Pitt said in the podcast, “I don’t know… because of my disaster of a personal life, probably.” Pitt has been a subject of the tabloids for many years, mostly for his relationship status, especially with Jennifer Aniston and later Angelina Jolie. Following his divorce, Pitt claimed that it wracked his life.

Pitt once revealed what he learned from DiCaprio while working on the Tarantino movie. “He’s so committed,” Pitt said of The Revenant star (via InStyle). Certainly, DiCaprio is known for his commitment to the roles he plays and that’s made him stand out in the industry for more than a decade.

“Like within a scene. You can play a scene at level one or 11, and he’s always pushing for the edge. He’s not protecting himself in any way. Sometimes, you will kind of put the reins on, but he’s literally throwing himself out there. He goes all the way and it’s really impressive. Which is why the epic break-dancing trailer works so well,” Pitt added.

Pitt seemed to be fond of his bromance with DiCaprio, “Leo and I just kind of popped at the same time and we’ve crossed paths many times,” the 59-year-old said. “We just, we have the same reference points,” he continued.“I think we should do like a Buddy Holly and Jerry Lewis movie or something,” he added. Of course, fans would very much love to see the Oscar-winning duo collaborating again on some other project and certainly it would be a spectacle for everyone to witness.
