In her upcoming memoir, Britney Spears said she got pregnant with singer Justin Timberlake when she was 19 but had an abortion because he didn’t want children.

Britney first talked about painful memories of her young love with Justin Timberlake in her memoir The Woman in Me, according to People. Referring to her pregnancy, the Baby One More Time singer wrote: “It’s a surprise, but for me, it’s not a tragedy. I love Justin so much. I always hope that one day they will We will have a home together. This will probably come sooner than I expected. Justin is not happy about my pregnancy. He said we are not ready to have children because we are too young.”

The 41-year-old singer revealed that she agreed to have an abortion according to Justin’s wishes. “I’m sure everyone will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have children. I don’t know if that was the right decision. If left to my own devices, I would never have done this. But Justin was very certain that he did not want to be a father at that time,” Britney said.

The pop star admitted that abortion is still one of the most painful things she has ever experienced. Justin Timberlake has not yet responded to this or Britney Spears’ memoir.

According to Britney’s revelation, she became pregnant in late 2000. The singer started dating Justin Timberlake in 1999 when she was 17 years old. The pair stayed together until 2002.

After breaking up with Justin, Britney married her childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander in early 2004. Two days later, she annulled her marriage to Jason. Later that year, the singer married dancer Kevin Federline and gave birth to two sons, Sean Preston in 2005 and Jayden James in 2006.

In 2022, the singer became pregnant with her third husband, actor Sam Asghari, after they got engaged. However, not long after that she had a miscarriage. Britney and Sam’s marriage ended in August this year.

Britney Spears wrote a memoir – about her life and career full of ups and downs – after she was released from conservatorship in November 2021. The book was released on October 24.
