In a court filing, the daughter-in-law accused pop legend Cher of hiring a group of men to kidnap her husband in a hotel room while they were together.

Mariangela King, daughter-in-law of the singer Believe, said her husband was forced out of his hotel in New York by four men hired by Cher on the night of their wedding anniversary. Marieangela said she and Elijah Blue Allman, 47 years old – Cher’s youngest son – have been together for 12 days in an effort to mend their marriage since November 18, 2022. However, that all changed on November 30, 2022 when a group of people broke into the hotel room to take Elijah away.

“One of the four men who arrested him said that they were hired by Elijah’s mother,” Mariangela King wrote in a court application in December 2022, revealed on Dailymail on September 26. “I currently do not know about my husband’s health condition or whereabouts. I am very concerned and worried about him.”

Marieangela King believes her husband is “locked up” in a secret treatment facility where he is not allowed to use his phone. The 36-year-old woman also confirmed that she was not allowed to see or talk to her husband. She accused Cher of asking her to leave the family home in Elijah’s absence. Mariangela King said she was unable to retrieve her belongings and inventory her assets.

Marieangela King, a member of the rock band King, married Elijah Blue Allman in 2013. They filed for divorce in 2021 and are still in the divorce settlement process. The next trial is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on October 27.

According to ET, Cher’s representative currently refuses to comment on this issue.

Dailymail reported that Elijah Blue Allman stayed at the famous Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood for about six months this year before returning to rehab recently. The source revealed that hotel staff informed Cher about Elijah’s worrying condition as the singer’s son often stood on the sidewalk in front of the hotel “leaning against the wall or sitting on the ground smoking”, looking like Sleazy. Cher hired a caregiver to look after her son, but one time hotel staff discovered Elijah lying face down on the sidewalk. Two days after the incident, Elijah was sent to rehab in California.

Cher is said to have a poor relationship with her son and daughter-in-law, and for some time she did not talk to her children. Elijah Blue Allman has a history of drug addiction and has openly shared about his battle with addictive substances.

Elijah is Cher’s son with the late musician Gregg Allman (Cher’s ex-husband). He is also a musician like his father. In addition to Elijah, the 77-year-old singer also has a son, Chaz Bono, born in 1969 with her first husband – singer Sonny Bono.
