Britney Spears’ new memoir has generated several headlines with shocking revelations

From her tumultuous love life to her struggle with addiction and undisclosed mental illness resulting in her infamous 2007 meltdown, Britney Spears hasn’t had it easy at the top. In her upcoming memoir, The Woman in Me, the Gimme More singer gives further insight into her life, which involves her relationship with Justin Timberlake that dates back to the late ’90s and early ’00s.

Reflecting on their time together, the pop icon recounted going through an excruciating abortion in complete secrecy, as Timberlake wasn’t ready to become a parent at the time.

Unlike Britney Spears, who was expecting to start a family with her then-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake wasn’t too enthusiastic about becoming a father. Per her memoir, the Trolls Star said that they were too young to land into parenthood, eventually resulting in the Baby One More Time Singer going through an abortion. Moreover, in order to avoid the media, Spears decided to go through the excruciating process in her home instead of a hospital.

And after hours of affliction, she found herself sobbing in her bathroom while Timberlake strummed his guitar to comfort her. Per the upcoming book, The Woman in Me (via People), she explained,

“It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated. But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”

Despite the gravity of the matter, it seems the Cry Me A River singer is reportedly planning to distance himself from the upcoming memoir.

Justin Timberlake to Distance Himself From Britney Spears’ Memoir per Report
Per Us Weekly, an undisclosed source claimed that Justin Timberlake will be distancing himself from Britney Spears’ The Woman in Me, following his busy schedule and commitment to his family. The statement read,

“Justin will always be supportive of Britney and all of her endeavours, but he’s trying to distance himself from her upcoming book. It’s not something he’s focusing too much on in terms of anything she might discuss when it comes to their former relationship. Justin and Britney dated so long ago, and he has a whole different life now.
