WATCH Draymond Green REVEALS, why Memphis wanted him to be ejected!

Draymond Green suspects Memphis Grizzlies side were looking to get Warriors star ejected in heated altercation

Draymond Green has a history of in-game altercations with either the referees or the players. In the recent game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Green got into yet another scuffle.

Green has been assessed technicals eight times this season, while also being ejected thrice. Earlier this season, Draymond was suspended due to hitting Jusuf Nurkic in a game against the Phoenix Suns.

The power forward missed 12 games for the same. After all the drama Draymond Green has been through this season, his scuffle against Desmond Bane the Grizzlies bench on Wednesday night might’ve resulted in yet another ejection from the game.

Though Green and Bane were assessed with double technical. Following the win over Memphis, Draymond believed that the Grizzlies tried lighting the match that would lead to Green’s ejection.

I got grabbed and snatched my arm away and got a tech. It kind of woke our team up. We got going from there and never looked back, so shout out to them. Maybe they were trying to get me thrown out, but it worked against them.

For context, the whole thing started when Green grabbed Aldama’s jersey, which had Aldama argue with the referee. Green joined in the conversation with the referees when Bane joined the huddle. The two got into a scuffle which then resulted in technicals.

Green has played 43 games so far compared to last year, when he played 73. The number of technicals does vary, as Draymond received 17 of them (the most of his career) in a single season.

Draymond Green is way too valuable for the Dubs to risk any misc

So far into the season, Green has put up 8.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game while also committing three fouls per contest.

As the Play-In tournament approaches, the Warriors will need their offensive leader in full form. Green initiates the offense for the Dubs, being as vocal as possible on the offensive end of the floor.

Golden State is likely to face the Los Angeles Lakers in the play-in tournament, settling for the eighth seed in the playoffs. It will be a close matchup, as both teams put on a show last year, meeting in the Western Conference Semi-Finals. The Dubs will need their best guys on the floor, including Green.

While looking at Green’s history with technicals and ejections, the 34-year-old should avoid such calls. It will be interesting to see Green and the Dubs try to make their way to the playoffs as they look forward to the play-in tournament.
