Kourtney Kardashian shares slideshow of her and husband Travis Barker kissing… one week after her aunt Karen Houghton died ‘unexpectedly’ at age 65

 

Kourtney Kardashian shared snaps of herself kissing husband Travis Barker to her Instagram page on Sunday night.

The reality star, 44, captioned the slideshow simply with ‘prayers and kisses’ – which was exactly what she was doing in the images.

Kourtney was kissing her Blink-182 drummer husband, 48, in five of the images and praying with him in another.

The star’s loved up snaps comes just one week after her aunt, Karen Houghton, died ‘unexpectedly’ at age 65.

Karen was the younger sister of Kourtney’s mom, Kris Jenner.

Karen – who famously had a rollercoaster relationship with Jenner, 68 – was reported deceased to San Diego County officials on Monday, March 18, in San Marcos, California, TMZ reports.

The exact circumstances of her passing are unclear, with county officials attributing her death to natural causes for now.

Karen was Kris’ only sister, with the pair growing up in San Diego together raised predominately by mom MJ after her divorce from the pair’s father Robert Houghton.

On Tuesday, Jenner shared snaps with her beloved sister and wrote: ‘It is with the heaviest heart and deepest sadness that I share that my sister Karen passed away yesterday unexpectedly.

Kris and Karen had long endured a rollercoaster relationship, oscillating between taking public barbs at one another, to Kris lavishing her little sister with pricey gifts.

Part-time nurse Karen had become known as the black sheep of the family after she candidly opened up outside Kim Kardashian’s baby shower in 2013 and even did a jig for waiting reporters.

Despite signing an NDA for the event, Karen waxed lyrical about eating ‘marshmallow on a stick’, the rose cake at the event and the goody bag, saying Kim and Kanye West ‘gave out Rolexes’.

Karen had frequently been outspoken when her sister Kris has riled her.

In 2013 Karen claimed that Kris had spent an eye-watering $1million on plastic surgery, which stemmed from being self-conscious about her weight when she was younger.

‘She was heavy as a kid and became worried about her looks at age 15,’ Karen told In Touch magazine.

She added: ‘The whole world knows it – Kris is vain.’

Kourtney did not publicly acknowledge or speak out on her aunt’s death.

 Kourtney and Travis are parents to one child together: son Rocky Thirteen, on November 1, 2023.

Kourtney has three children with ex-partner Scott Disick: sons Mason, 13, and Reign, eight, and daughter Penelope, 11.

Travis is dad to son Landon, 19, daughter Alabama, 18, and stepdaughter Atiana, 24, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

In December 2022, Kourtney revealed she stopped IVF 10 months prior, because it caused her spiral into a deep depression among other symptoms.

She had been very open about her struggle with IVF on Hulu’s The Kardashians.

Kourtney and Travis conceived Rocky naturally, she revealed in an interview with Vogue in November 2023.

‘We just got pregnant naturally. It was an indescribable feeling. Shock, then super-happy, fear seats in, worry, but I remember then to have gratitude.’

They welcomed their first child together, son Rocky Thirteen, on November 1, 2023

Kourtney and Travis started dating in 2020 after almost 10 years of friendship; Travis was also her neighbor.

They went Instagram official in February 2021, and engaged by October 2022.

They tied the knot in May 2022 in a Santa Barbara courthouse, and went to Portofino, Italy a week later to hold a lavish wedding at the Dolce & Gabbana mansion in front of their friends and family.
