In the song, one line calls out “amateurs” after saying the words touchdown, and calls for them to be cut.

“Touch down, call the amateurs and cut ’em from the team,” the lyric reads.

Chiefs fans are adamant that this is a dig at former wide receiver Kadarius Toney, who had multiple key drops during the 2023 season.

“Taylor called out Kadarius Toney,” one fan pointed out.

“Taylor Swift has some notes for Andy Reid about Kadarius Toney,” another fan said.

“The Alchemy is about Travis Kelce, but it also dunks on Kadarius Toney,” a third fan said.

“Speculation is rising that Taylor Swift is talking about Kadarius Toney in her new song,” a fourth fan said.

Hilariously, back in December of 2023 during Toney’s struggles, NFL reporter Andrew Siciliano joked on X that the next Taylor Swift album would roast Toney.

“Taylor Swift is going to subtly destroy Kadarius Toney on the next album,” he wrote.

Despite all the speculation from fans, Toney likely isn’t going anywhere as Andy Reid has put his faith in him.

We know who you went with,’ jokes Jason Kelce as Travis reflects on Coachella visit with Taylor Swift
“Kadarius is arguably one of the most talented guys we have on the team,” Reid said.

“It’s just a matter of staying healthy and being able to stay on the field, and you always hear about the reliability, accountability, all those things that go into it.

“And so I’m expecting him to come back ripping and ready to go. It’s great that he’s down there working with (quarterback) Pat (Mahomes) and putting the work in. So that’s a positive.”

Toney had his worst season in the NFL in 2023, catching just 169 yards and one touchdown.

“Listen, we like Kadarius. It’s just a matter of having him on the field,” Reid said.
