Former Love Island star Shaughna wrote: “Really wanted to to have a productive week but when I tell you I’ve never PMS’d harder in my life.

“I’ve never suffered with problematic periods. Ever since I had Lucia I have truly been in the depths of hell five days of the month.”

Shaughna added: “I can’t believe this is just life for women? I didn’t sign up for this.”

PMS, or premenstrual syndrome, describes the many annoying symptoms that a woman may have to endure in the run up to her period.

Over 150 PMS symptoms have been identified, including physical symptoms such as breast tenderness and headaches, and physiological symptoms like mood swings, fatigue and anger.

Earlier this month Shaughna confessed she’d been left “shook to her core” after being branded “obese” by doctors.

In a video message that Shaughna recorded in January but only posted now, she explained: “They told me that I was obese.

“It isn’t a shock but it’s never nice to hear and the following the checkups that I had done they said I had quite a lot of visceral fat around my organs.”

She continued to fans: “I’m a mum now and it shook me to my core.

“I know I’m not the picture of health but I didn’t realise things were actually that bad and it’s kinda scary to hear it from, like, a medical professional.”

“I need to do something, I’m going to get my thinking cap on because I only have one parent because my dad died and without getting too deep, I just never want that to happen to Lucia.”

Shaughna then opened up about her body dysmorphia and how she doesn’t want it to impact her daughter.

She explained: “Obviously I’ve struggled with my body image for most of my life, which is so scary.

“I don’t want that to be Lucia, I never want her to struggle with her body imaged but I need to be a positive example for her and I don’t want her to ever see me struggling to put clothes on or not wearing certain things because of how I look.”
