Britain’s Got Talent took a scary turn on Saturday night as a daring acrobatic stunt went wrong.

During the latest instalment, acrobatic group, Serbat Troupe, performed dangerous stunts using a ladder. The act started with one member doing a handstand on another member’s head as he climbed a ladder up and down. After the successful start, the group then performed an even scarier stunt.

For the next part of the routine, the next member did a one handed stand on the member’s head as they climbed the ladder. However, halfway through the stunt, the member started to shake as things took a scary turn to which the other member jumped away, landing on the floor.

Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli all screamed in horror while hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were also visibly in shock. Thankfully all members were okay and they decided to attempt the stunt again to which the judges tried to advise against.

Amanda protested: “End it there, end it there!” while Alesha added: “No, it’s silly, you don’t need to! I don’t want anymore” as she waved onto the stage no. However, the group went ahead and successfully pulled off the stunt, where they got four yeses.

During feedback, Bruno said: “I nearly had a heart attack, you nearly killed me! It was so compelling, I nearly passed out… I’ve never seen anything like it and I think it was brilliant!” Alesha joked that she needed a lie down as the act was “exhausting” while Amanda pointed out it was so “tense and scary”.

It comes as Britain’s Got Talent is in a huge ITV schedule shake-up next week. The hit competition show typically airs on Saturday evenings with occasional double bills on Sundays for the launch of the series or finals. However, next week, Britain’s Got Talent will be pulled from its usual Saturday schedule and will instead air on Sunday night.
