I think he’s more important now than ever before because comedians are now just posting clips of them doing crowd work online and calling it art, and it’s not art.”The comedic actor continued to express his regret over disparaging Chappelle, vowing to cease discrediting the renowned jokester and standup mainstay. “I’ll never do it again. I do apologize for that. I’m man enough to say that is wrong,” he added.

I don’t want the attention. It has gone on way too long,” he said of the ruckus caused by his pointed critique of Chappelle.

The award-winning comic went on to gush over Chappelle’s creative activity as of late, praising him as one of the more consistent and hardest working showmen in comedy today. “There are so few artists, people actually doing art, not doing podcasts, not doing like crowd work videos online, actually doing the art.
