Louis Walsh was evicted second from Celebrity Big Brother during the live final, with him having missed out on a place in the final three.

During the live final on Friday night, it was announced that he had placed fourth on the ITV show. He was the second person voted out of the Big Brother house that night, following Fern Britton’s departure just minutes earlier in the episode.

Following his departure, Louis was interviewed by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best who asked about his experience on the show. The segment included him seeing some footage from the past three weeks and him being asked to share his thoughts on events by the two presenters of the series.

The evicted housemate revealed that he was “glad” to have been voted out. He told the presenters: “I’m so glad to be out.” He suggested that he was “relived” and further commented earlier: I was hoping I would be first [out].”

Louis also spoke about having reunited with former colleague Sharon Osbourne – whom he worked with on the X Factor for several years – whilst in the house. He said: “We had the best fun. I hope nobody heard our little chats. We had the best fun. No holds barred. We had a really big laugh.”

“I was watching it and I was wondering how it’s doing in the ratings,” he said about events unfolding in the show whilst speaking to hosts AJ and Will. And when it was mentioned that he received 40 nominations over the course of the series, Louis responded: “…but I still made the last four.”

Louis said that he had wanted to leave on a few occasions though during the experience. He said: “There was a few nights I was in really bad place […] One or two times i wanted to leave.” He added: “Luckily I stayed [but I did want to go] I had anxiety, one or two nights, because I was on my own.”

Following his departure, it was announced that Colson Smith had placed third in the show, with him being evicted shortly after former housemate Louis had said his goodbyes. Towards the end of the episode, AJ and Will revealed how had won the show, with David Potts announced as the winner. It meant that Nikita Kuzmin was named as the runner-up.

Coronation Street cast member Colson, former This Morning presenter Fern, reality TV star David and Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita had been announced as finalists alongside Louis earlier this week. They had competed to become the first winner of ITV’s version of the reality TV show.

Recent episodes saw Bradley Riches, Zeze Millz and Marisha Wallace miss out on being finalists. Whilst Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Levi Roots, Lauren Simon and Princess Kate’s uncle Gary Goldsmith were each evicted earlier in the series.
