Nearly a month ago, Ye publicly bragged that he has “washed” Drake and Kendrick Lamar in previous songs. This week, the rapper backed up his words by releasing a ‘Like That’ remix and partaking in a lil’ social media trolling. Metro Boomin also entered the chat after the remix’s premiere.
Ye debuted the track taking shots at Drizzy and Cole on Justin LaBoy’s podcast, ‘The Download.’
After the song’s release, Metro Boomin’ took to social media with a photo of him and Ye in the studio. His caption said, “Can’t stop won’t stop #seanjeantanktop.” Meanwhile, Ye (formerly Kanye West) shared a photo of a stick figure giving a man fellatio after admitting she doesn’t listen to Cole’s music.
What Did Ye Previously Say About Washing Drake & Kendrick?
As previously mentioned, Future and Metro Boomin’ released their collab project, ‘We Don’t Trust You,’ on March 22. The track ‘Like That’ featured Kendrick, who used his slot to share words about Drake and Cole’s ‘First Person Shooter’ mode, their projects, and their status in the rap industry.
Days after its release, Ye took to social media, claiming that he “washed” Drake when they performed together at the ‘Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert’ in Dec. 2021. Ye also said Lamar got the work in the booth on their first collab track ‘No More Parties.’
Neither Drizzy nor K Dot seemed to give Ye’s words any public attention. Meanwhile, Cole took aim at Kendrick’s previous projects in the now-unavailable ‘7 Minute Drill.’ Two days later, Cole apologized to Kendrick while performing at his Dreamville Fest.

By that point, Drake still hadn’t responded in the booth. However, that changed last weekend when a track leaked of him taking shots at Rick Ross, Kendrick, Metro Boomin’, and The Weeknd. He confirmed the diss record was official by releasing it on streaming platforms on April 19 under the name ‘Push Ups.’
He followed up by releasing ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’ on April 19, egging Lamar to drop a clapback. Hours later, Snoop Dogg seemingly reacted to Drake using his AI vocals on the track—a stunt the Canadian rapper also pulled with Tupac Shakur’s AI vocals.
