CELEBRITY Big Brother fans have come up with a wild theory claiming Fern Britton has a crush on Nikita Kuzmin.

The pair shared an awkward encounter when the former This Morning presenter took offence to Nikita’s remarks about her fashion.

Fern, 66, went onto confront her co-star as she seemed somewhat annoyed when he gave a backhanded compliment to her outfit.

Letting her frustrations out in the Diary Room she said: “So last night I did accidentally, honestly, upset him, he was quite cross and you know, I could see he was angry with me.

“It pressed something for him, maybe there’s a lack of experience in having older women around.

“As a dancer, he has to have vanity, because he’s got to look perfect and right with every move he makes.

“And so, he’s interested in the people he wants to be interested in and I honestly, I’m not a subject that he’s particularly interested in. That’s life.”

Some Celebrity Big Brother speculated whether Fern’s frustrations came from another place.

They took to X – formerly known as Twitter as they claimed that she may have a secret crush on the Strictly Come Dancing professional.

One tweeted: “I feel like Fern has had a crush on nikita whilst watching strictly like the rest of us and is giving school disco energy simply shattered her crush doesn’t fancy her back #CBBUK.”

As another said: “Judging by tonight’s episode, I’m getting the vibe that Fern secretly fancies Nikita.”

They added: “She constantly wants his attention and over egged the head hit to get more concern and hugs out of him. Also funny how she had told him she’s still got a brain like a 26 year old.”

But other fans think Fern is insecure about her age, as she has mentioned it a number of time.

One more fan said: “Fern gives older women a bad name…most of us don’t give a s*** about age..please get her out.. #CBBUK”

Another claimed: “Fern wrongly accuses Nikita of making a back handed compliment and instead of just admitting when she’s wrong she insteads condescends him behind his back in the diary room by saying he’s not use to being round older women #CBBUK.”

“‘Lack of experience having older women around’ no Fern, he paid you a compliment and you started on him – how do you expect him to react??? miss me with this Nikita Villian thing he hasn’t done anything? #CBBUK,” noted a third fan.

And another added: “‘A lack of experience in having older women around’ fern what are you talking about he said he liked your jumper #cbbuk.”

The pair eventually made up and shared a hug as a gesture of peace.

The Strictly Come Dancing professional approached the former TV presenter when she was working out.

After he interrupted her stretches, the pair shared a sweet embrace as he offered an olive branch.
