OMG-MB Good Morning Britain ‘FEUD’ MYSTERY as Ben Shephard is SNUBBED by show after QUITTING for This Morning

BEN Shephard has only left Good Morning Britain for a few months but it seems like he’s been erased from the show’s upcoming celebrations.

The ITV morning show is marking its 10-year anniversary this year, and as part of that has started celebrating with an Instagram post.

Posting on the official GMB page, the team wrote, “10 years have flown by! Let’s look back at some of our presenters through the years.”

The pictures were of the hosts at work during the decade – with Susanna Reid coming first, followed by stars including Kate Garraway, Charlotte Hawkins, Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh.

But as the collection rounded out with Sean Fletcher, money expert Martin Lewis, weather forecaster Laura Tobin, Richard Arnold and Adil Ray, fans spotted that some notable faces were absent.

Among them was Ben, who was an anchor on the show before he left for This Morning at the beginning of this year.

Ben was an original member of the cast when the series first aired, and remained with the series until 2024 when he was hired to star alongside Cat Deeley to replace Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Piers Morgan, who stormed out of GMB never to return in 2021, was also absent – with the host himself simply replying, “Ermm…” while his son Spencer joked, “where’s the main one?”

Fans began to wonder why this snub occurred considering they were such fundamental parts of the series.

“Shame no Ben ? How quickly we move on ! Shameful,” wrote one fan.

Another commented: “I know you did not just leave Piers Morgan and Ben Shepherd there were the reason I started watching that show in the first place (sic)”

“No Piers Morgan, no Ed Balls, Rob Rinder and where is Ben Sheperd? (SIC)” said a third.

“Where’s Ben?” added a fourth, while a fifth said “What about Ben?”

While fans may be disappointed he may not have made the collection, Ben did still make the cut when it came to snips and highlight reels of the show at its best.

And on Mondays to Thursdays he’s still a regular face on the daytime TV schedule, hosting alongside Cat on This Morning from the same studio as GMB.

However, his new tenure has not come without bumps in the road, with fans not taking to the duo and even wanting them axed.

The ITV’s flagship daytime show, which has had a stormy twelve months following Holly and Phil’s fallout and subsequent departures from the programme, caused ratings to plummet to just 692.500 in March.

That is the fewest since Holly’s last day on October 10 and lower than Phillip last appeared the previous May, when 767,00 were watching.

Now fans are wanting Ben and Cat to be replaced with Friday hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.
