THE Chase viewers have issuesd a big complaint about the ITV programme after they were driven to ‘switch off’ just minutes into the latest episode.

Fans of the quiz show hosted by Bradley Walsh usually tune in to watch brand-new episodes, which air on weekdays at 5pm.

In the instalment, Ioan from Cardiff, Craig from Manchester and Cathy from Devon faced chaser The Governess, Ann Hegerty, in a competition for an eye-watering cash prize.

However, the most recent episode caused quite a stir and left fans disappointed after they complained that ITV was airing “constant” repeats that offered nothing new.

Taking to X(Twitter), one viewer wrote: “These are repeats. #TheChase,” one exasperated fan exclaimed.

Another moaned: “Governess again? Wasn’t she on on Monday?”

A third pointed out: “They’re still [screening] ‘new’ episodes of The Chase Celebrity Special and Tipping Point: Lucky Stars on the shelf that were filmed in 2022.”

“One of the great poor episodes tonight #TheChase,” a fourth penned.

A fourth remarked: “Any point in watching the rest of #thechase?” as others suggested they would be switching off.

“Not much point watching the final chase. That was embarrassing. #TheChase,” someone else typed.

As a sixth chimed: “The final chase is sending me to sleep… #TheChase.”

During the repeat episode, ITV host Bradley teased one of the contestants about his outfit choice despite the fact that he was a fashion teacher.

After stepping up on the podium, the 63-year-old jokingly said to Craig: “I like the chinos, is that why you’re hiding your hands there?”

He added: “You’re a teacher of fashion!”

The fashion guru revealed that he made his own clothes while tutoring a group of 16-19 year-olds at college.

Bradley replied: “It’s a wonderful thing to do!”

Later in the episode, as the interrogation began, Craig correctly answered “Alan Sugar” to one of the questions.

As he responded: “Alan Sugar”, Bradley shot back: “It’s Lord Sugar, but I’ll give you that!”

However, one viewer thought Bradley had given a condescending response, prompting them to exclaim: “Er…yeah COS IT’S RIGHT!!”

Elsewhere, contestant Penny was brutally mocked by fans for seemingly not getting a single answer right.

Speaking about the awkward moment, one fan said: “I suppose they have to try and balance the team out to make it reasonably fair on The Chaser, but it’s a bit painful to watch when they’ve put someone on who seems to be there just as cannon fodder.”

Another worried viewer followed: “Wait, did she not get a single question right?”

Ambitious contestant Cathy reported her plans to visit all of the castles and stately homes in Britain, already having ticked a mammoth 50 off her list.

She revealed that she had been even busier over in France, having visited 103 of its “prettiest historic villages” out of a possible 159.

However, she admitted she won’t be travelling to the French-owned territory Reunion in the Indian Ocean as she “can’t get the motor home there”.

In a previous episode, Shaun Wallace, aka The Dark Destroyer, was slammed by fans for wasting time when he froze for 15 seconds while trying to answer a question.

During the final round, as he went head to head with Jack and Diego, things didn’t exactly go according to plan for the 63-year-old quiz genius.

One question left the chaser speechless and running out of time as players Jack and Diego – who had secured a prize fund of £15,000 and correctly answered 16 questions- gave him a run for his money.

During the episode, Bradley asked, “In tennis, each point begins with a what?” which left Shaun scratching his head for several seconds.

Shaun then stuttered: “Erm…,” as he struggled to come up with an answer, which prompted the contestants to cut in with “serve”.

Jack and Diego won the show with that answer and walked away with a cash prize.
