Taylor, 34, has had a busy year with her highly successful Eras Tour, the release of her re-albums, Speak Now and 1989, her Eras Tour film debuting on Disney+.

Not to mention her highly publicized relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce, 34.

With her incomprehensible fame, some celebs haven’t held back in sharing their honest thoughts on the pop music sensation.

From the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards incident to “edited” clips shared on social media, take a look at Taylor’s infamous feuds over the years.

COURTNEY LOVE

On April 14, the ex of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain and musician Courtney Love, 59, gave her brutally honest opinion on Taylor.

In an interview with The Standard, the Hole member discussed women in the music industry – including her favorite artists and ones she isn’t a fan of.

When it came to Taylor, Courtney revealed that she was “not important.”

The star said, “She’s a safe space for girls, and she’s probably the Madonna of now, but she’s not interesting as an artist.”

After fans caught wind of Courtney’s comments, they dug up a 2021 post of the star posing with Taylor and singer Lorde, in which she previously called Taylor an “aspirational huge role model for many young women.”

KATY PERRY

According to Taylor, it was Katy who started their feud after the Firework singer “stole” Taylor’s backup dancers she had in line for her 2013-2014 Red Tour for her own Prismatic World Tour.

Since their beef began, fans speculated that the two pop singers wrote songs aimed at each other.

In 2015, Taylor released Bad Blood and then two years later in 2017, Katy released Swish Swish.

Taylor admitted that the song wasn’t about Katy, while the I Kissed A Girl hitmaker remained quiet on the matter.

In 2019, the two seemed to end their feud after Katy made an appearance in Taylor’s music video for her hit song, You Need To Calm Down.

“We don’t have a very close relationship because we are very busy but we text a lot,” Katy revealed after being asked about the music video.

In another interview, Taylor said, “She and I have really been on good terms for a while. We saw each other at a party, and walked up to each other, and hugged it out, and talked about things.”

Earlier this year, Katy attended the Eras Tour in Australia and she and Taylor took a selfie together backstage.

THE VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS

Taylor’s most infamous feud is with Kanye West, 46, and his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, 43.

On September 13, 2009, actor Taylor Lautner, 32, and singer Shakira, 47, unveiled that Taylor won the Video Music Award for Best Female Video for her hit, You Belong With Me.

The singer was shocked to hear her name being called and was all smiles while holding onto her award.

Seconds after winning, Kanye West, 46, took the mic and said, “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you and imma let you finish but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.”

After his speech, he shrugged his shoulders and handed the mic back to a stunned Taylor.

Later that night, after winning Video of the Year, Beyonce brought Taylor back on stage.

TAYLOR VS. KANYE WEST

In June 2016, the rap music star released the music video for his song, Famous, which had Kanye lying naked in bed along with other A-lister lookalikes in the nude – including Taylor.

In the single, Kanye raps, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b***h famous / I made that b***h famous.”

When the music video dropped, Taylor claimed that while she did know about the lyric, she was unaware that she was called a b***h, despite Kanye’s wife at the time, Kim, arguing otherwise.

Kim then released a snippet of a phone call between the Yeezy mogul and Taylor to “prove” that she knew about the lyrics.

The Skims mogul later said in an interview with GQ, “She totally approved that; she wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn’t.”

TAYLOR VS. KIM

In December 2023, Taylor was named Time’s Person of the Year where she discussed the “edited” phone call video that Kim previously released.

The Blank Space singer admitted that their fallout felt like “a career death” and that it was “taken away” from her.

Taylor said, “You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar.

“That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls.”

She claimed that she “pushed people away” because she was having trust issues.

SCOOTER BRAUN

American entrepreneur Scooter Braun, 42, is one of the reasons that Taylor is re-recording her previous albums: Taylor Swift (2006), Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012), 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017).

Rewinding to the very beginning of Taylor’s career, she signed a huge deal with Big Machine Records, which was owned by Scott Borchetta at the time.

After Reputation, she left the record company to sign with Republic Records and Universal Music Group.

In June 2019, Scott sold Big Machine Records to Scooter for $300 million, which included all of Taylor’s masters – all without her knowledge.

In a lengthy statement shared on her Tumblr page, Taylor said, “For years I asked, pleaded for a chance to own my work. Instead, I was given an opportunity to sign back up to Big Machine Records and ‘earn’ one album back at a time, one for every new one I turned in.”

“I walked away because I knew once I signed that contract, Scott Borchetta would sell the label, thereby selling me and my future. I had to make the excruciating choice to leave behind my past,” she stated.

She also revealed that she had been bullied and manipulated by Scooter and his clients – including Kanye – for years and called the situation her “worst-case scenario.”
