Charlotte Linlin, known as Big Mom, was one of the Four Emperors ruling over the New World, and she proved to be a powerful fighter during her battles in One Piece.

Big Mom earned her status as one of the strongest pirates in the New World, and along the way she has secured some amazing victories that show her insane powers.

Big Mom was born with an unnatural level of strength, and she’s only gotten stronger with age. She’s able to decimate entire towns and sink battleships without exerting much force, and her durability only makes her an even more powerful fighter.

As big as she is, Big Mom still remains agile, able to quickly catch up to other fast characters, including Luffy and Sanji in battle. Her Marma-Raid attack has also demonstrated her flexibility in a fight, with Big Mom jumping in the air and spinning around skillfully.

9Sanji Possesses Amazing Martial Arts Prowess

Sanji unleashes his full power during the Wano Country Arc

Can Naruto, Ichigo, or Luffy take down Ultra Instinct Goku?

As the Straw Hat Pirates’ cook, Sanji has proven himself to be a pirate with plenty of potential. He has impressive physical strength, shown when he was able to defeat the All-Star Queen without exerting much effort.

Sanji’s durability is also impressive, with him withstanding a massive lightning bolt at point-blank range and still able to stand afterward.

He’s also a seasoned martial artist, utilizing Black Leg Style kicks in battle. Sanji may have a long way to go before he can handle One Piece‘s more threatening villains by himself, but with proper training, he’s got the potential to go all the way.

8Dracule Mihawk is One Piece’s Strongest Swordsman

Dracule Mihawk, the World's Strongest Swordsman, in the One Piece anime

Dracule “Hawk Eyes” Mihawk is an infamous pirate in the world of One Piece, revered as the “Strongest Swordsman in the World.” Fans question whether Dracule Mihawk is a hero or villain, but the mysterious character is certainly one of the series’ strongest fighters.

His impressive title may speak for itself, but Dracule also has powerful physical strength to pair with his swordsmanship, with Dracule able to put a stop to Zoro with just one hand and a single knife.

He’s also capable of jumping to extreme heights as well as having reflexes fast enough to counter Luffy’s Second Gear’s speed without breaking a sweat.

7Silvers Rayleigh was the Right Hand of the Pirate King

Silvers Rayleigh Speaking To Luffy In One Piece

Silvers Rayleigh was known as the Right Hand of the Pirate King, and he was also the mentor of Monkey D. Luffy when he learned to use Haki.

His time working for the Pirate King made him a seasoned and skilled combatant, and his ability to teach Luffy how to control Haki proves Silvers’ own mastery of the mysterious power.

In addition to his physical strength in combat, Silvers is highly intelligent, able to stay one step ahead of his enemies.

He’s also a skilled swordsman, able to combine his mastery of Haki with his swordsmanship for impressive feats, such as when he compressed air with sword slashes to prevent the Marines from chasing Luffy.

Red-Haired Shanks had been sailing with the infamous Roger Pirates since he was a baby, and he developed the fighting skills to hang with the notorious pirates as a result. He regularly dueled his rival, Dracule Mihawk, and was even able to match a blow from the legendary Whitebeard.

Shanks is one of the few people in the world of One Piece to be able to use all three types of Haki, which shows just how powerful of a fighter he truly is. He’s also incredibly charismatic and a natural leader, earning him the loyalty of his crew, who are more than happy to defend him and fight by his side.

5Sabo Mastered the Powerful Ryusoken Technique

As one of Luffy’s brothers and the Revolutionary Army’s chief of staff, Sabo has been an amazing fighter since his youth, excelling in hand-to-hand combat. He endured training from Hack and Monkey D. Dragon after joining the army, and he used that harsh training to become a more powerful fighter as he grew up.

As an adult, Sabo mastered the Ryusoken fighting style, a form of martial art based around grips and “claws.” With his excellent technique, Sabo is able to break through armor, swords, and even skulls without flinching.

4Kaido is an Unkillable Beast

As the Governor-General of the Beasts Pirates, Kaido is revered as the world’s “Strongest Creature,” and his immense physical power proves him worthy of the title. Kaido has been able to tear through Luffy’s Gear 4 defenses, and he’s also been capable of sinking enormous prison ships by himself.

The leader of the Beasts Pirates also has extreme durability, with it being seemingly impossible for Kaido to die despite his longing to be killed valiantly in battle. Emperors even tried to execute Kaido 40 times, failing each time as the weapons broke when used against his tough skin.

3Monkey D. Luffy is Always Improving

One Piece's Monkey D. Luffy charges in to attack

There are many special moves used in Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece, like Genkishin and Omori Karyudon, making some foes formidable even for Luffy.

Monkey D. Luffy is one of the strongest anime characters of all time, and he’s only been getting better as One Piece goes on. He has powerful strength, agility, and durability, with his rubber-like body giving him the ability to easily adapt to whatever a fight brings his way.

The extent of Luffy’s true power has likely not been reached yet, either. As One Piece progresses, Luffy is always training harder and working to reach new heights, making him more than capable of one day claiming the coveted treasure he seeks.

2Whitebeard was the Strongest Man in the World

Whitebeard stands at the Marineford war in One Piece.

Since his start, Luffy has made a name for himself and become one of the strongest pirates in the New World, but this doesn’t make him invincible.

Edward Newgate, known as Whitebeard, earned the title of the Strongest Man in the World. He was able to go head-to-head against Gol D. Roger in his younger days, his physical power surpassed that of a giant, and he also had the speed to match his impressive strength.

The only thing that held Whitebeard back was his health, but even with his many health problems, he didn’t let it keep him from a good fight. Whitebeard more than proved himself to be one of One Piece‘s most enduring fighters, sustaining a total of 465 injuries in the Summit War and still dying standing up, a testament to his incredible tenacity.

The legendary Gol D. Roger was the famed Pirate King and owner of the One Piece treasure. He conquered the Grand Line, a testament to his strength as one of the strongest pirates ever. Gol D. Roger had amazing levels of raw strength and endurance. He also mastered all three types of Haki and was a proficient swordsman.

Gol D. Roger had the highest bounty in One Piece history, and his physical strength made it hard for anyone to claim that reward. Unlike most of One Piece‘s legendary fighters, Gol D. Roger never had any Devil Fruit powers — making his strength even more remarkable and cementing his worthiness as One Piece‘s strongest fighter of all time.
