Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is not without emotional support when he steps onto the court. During his 15-year NBA career, fans often caught glimpses of his father, wife, or children present (and sometimes a full house) to cheer the player on.  A similar incident took place barely a few hours ago.

Before the Warriors’ clash against the New Orleans Pelicans, Stephen Curry engaged in a practice session, with his 11-year-old daughter Riley sitting courtside. During this, Curry passed the basketball to his eldest ‘volleyball style’. Consequently, Riley responded with their quick instinct and passed the ball back to Steph rather comfortably. The four-time NBA champion took a step backward and dropped the ball through the hoop.

As the clip started to make the rounds, it would have been emblematic for Warriors fans to not be reminded of Riley’s grandmother Sonya Curry, who herself was quite an impressive volleyball player during her days as a student-athlete.

This is a developing story.
