In another interview with Sky Sports Boxing, he talks about a hilarious situation from back when he bought his first anime figurine. It was a mint-in-the-box beautiful figure, but he was faced with horror after returning from a tournament.

His mom had taken the box off and thrown it away in an attempt to be helpful. While we all know why taking a figure out of a box is devastating, Ben Whittaker could not reprimand this sweet gesture and just forbade her from doing it again.
