The world of hip-hop and basketball is intertwined in ways that few understand. This connection has led to strong bonds between NBA superstars and their hip-hop counterparts, who often move in the same circles. One such individual who has formed close relationships with NBA stars like LeBron James and Stephen Curry is Canadian rapper, Drake. However, due to their association with Drizzy, both Steph and LeBron recently got called out in a diss track.

Yesterday, two of the most influential hip-hop artists in the world came at each other’s throats. Drake and Kendrick Lamar haven’t had the best of relationships and on Friday night, Drake decided to stoke fires by releasing a diss track called “Family Matter.” Apart from Lamar, Drizzy also dissed several other artists like ASAP Rocky, Metro Boomin, the Weeknd, and Future. However, it was Kendrick Lamar who had the fastest and most effective retort.

Within just 20 minutes of “Family Matters” release, Kendrick dropped a track called “Meet the Grahams.” Lamar’s track instantly garnered attention from NBA fans, particularly because he mentioned LeBron James and Stephen Curry. On the track, Kendrick can be heard advising both NBA stars to keep their families and themselves away from Drake.

Stephen Curry and LeBron James have a cordial relationship with Drake. In fact, they are so tight that Drizzy even name-dropped Steph and LeBron on tracks like “nonstop” and “0 to 100.” The five-time Grammy winner is often spotted chatting with them on the sidelines of Toronto Raptors’ games. However, fans appear upset with both Drake and Lamar for involving Steph and LeBron, as well as their families, into their public feud.

Fans voice their opinion on Drake-Kendrick Lamar beef

Several fans took to social media to give their two cents on Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s beef. As well as Kendrick’s references to Stephen Curry and LeBron James. One social media user thought that the 17x Grammy winner was really concerned about Steph and LeBron.

Meanwhile, another X user thought that name-dropping Stephen Curry and LeBron James was “shameless.”

Whereas, a third social media user urged Drake and Lamar to keep LeBron James out of their bitter public dispute.

Another fan held the same sentiments, but for Stephen Curry.

However, one social media user thought the whole Drake-Kendrick Lamar fiasco was “crazy.”
