After getting dressed up in NBA gear, Lionel Messi went to his first Miami Heat game with his family, who seemed to enjoy the event.

Eight-time Ballon d’Or winner, who now plays for the Inter Miami MLS team in Florida, was there to watch the Heat continue their playoff game against the Boston Celtics. They lost 102–88 in front of special guests because they couldn’t put on a winning show.

Manny Messi was at Kaseya Center with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo and their three boys, Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro. Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba, all players for the Argentine’s club, also went with friends and family.

This got the Messi family ready for some intense basketball action by getting handmade Heat jerseys. It wasn’t a surprise that Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro were given the number 10 on their replica shirts, which is still worn by their famous father for club and country.

It’s not used by the Heat anymore because it was retired in 2009 to honor Tim Hardaway, but Messi was always going to choose that number. The soccer great will be back on the field on Saturday when they play the New York Red Bulls. He spent the evening watching the game from the court.
