Only Roger and Whitebeard’s bounty is more than the costliest Devil Fruit.

SUMMARY

One Piece has several Devil Fruits that provide its user with amazing abilities like Monkey D. Luffy’s Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika.

The costliest Devil Fruit in One Piece is not possessed by the Yonko or the Gorosei, but one of the members of the Worst Generation.
The costliest Devil Fruit has a bounty of 5 Billion Berries and is worth more than all of the present Yonko, including Shanks and Blackbeard.

One Piece is full of Devil Fruits. Devil Fruits, when consumed, gives a specific ability to its users in exchange for their ability to swim. In the case of Portgas D. Ace’s Mera Mera no Mi, it allows him to become and control fire at Will. But he is a deadweight on the sea since he cannot swim. There are three types of Devil Fruits – Logia, Paramecia, and Zoan.

As the story of One Piece progressed, fans got to experience new Devil Fruits and their abilities, with a few of them having amazing abilities that were beyond their expectations. But there is a particular Devil Fruit, which costs a lot. Its value is even more than Shanks’ bounty. Most people might think it to be Luffy’s Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, but that is not the one.

The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika was under the World Government protection until Shanks stole it. It was considered the most valuable Devil Fruit in One Piece since it had the name of a God. But Monkey D. Luffy mistakenly ate it and became a rubber human until he discovered its true abilities. Even though it was the number one priority for the World Government to get hold of that Devil Fruit, it was not the Devil Fruit with the most bounty.

The Devil Fruit with the most bounty in One Piece is the Ope Ope no Mi. The Ope Ope no Mi had a price tag of 5 Billion berries. It was under the possession of Diez Barrels, who was willing to sell it at the mentioned price. But before that could happen, Donquixote Rosinante stole the Devil Fruit and fed it to Trafalgar D. Water Law before being killed by Donquixote Doflamingo.

There are several Devil Fruits that have amazing abilities and are worth more than Ope Ope no Mi when it comes to usage. But when monetary terms are involved, the Ope Ope no Mi is worth more than all the present Yonko. Moreover, it is also worth more than Trafalgar Law, who is the Ope Ope no Mi user.

Ope Ope no Mi Has Wild Abilities

Ope Ope no Mi may not be powerful like the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, but it is still one of the most powerful Devil Fruits in Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus. It can perform operations on other people and change their anatomy. Heads can be changed with limbs and vice versa. Trafalgar Law became a Warlord after collecting one hundred pirate hearts and presenting them to the Marines.

As the name suggests, it is a surgical fruit and provides all the abilities of a surgeon. That is why Law is known as the ‘Surgeon of Death.’ It can create a spherical dome around its user up to a certain range, and the user can teleport with other objects inside the sphere. But the greatest ability of the fruit is to grant another person eternal youth at the cost of the user’s life.

It is not every day that the Marines get a deal of such a special Devil Fruit at 5 Billion Berries. Even though it was a tad bit pricey, its abilities far exceeded its price. The Ope Ope no Mi is truly one-of-a-kind Devil Fruit, and Eiichiro Oda included the concept of immortality through this special Devil Fruit.
