Warning: The following contains spoilers for chapter 1112 of One Piece, “Hard Aspects” by Eiichiro Oda, translated by Stephen Paul, and lettered by Vanessa Satone, now available in English from MangaPlus.

After an incredibly long break, One Piece finally returned and fans were incredibly excited to see Eiichiro Oda continue his story, which is currently edging closer to the conclusion of the Egghead Island arc. This week’s chapter was certainly not the very best that the fans witnessed in Egghead, however, it set up greater things to come as the conclusion of the Egghead Island arc looms.

Fans were able to see major developments pertaining to Vegapunk’s message, and at the same time, the escape strategy of the Straw Hat Pirates as well. All those things combined to make this a solid One Piece chapter, with an incredible setup for greater things to come.

V. Nusjuro Arrives On The Meetup Location

Nusjuro Incapacitated All The Pacifistas On Egghead

The Five Elders have been on Egghead for quite a while now, and it appears that they have started to wrap up their job. In One Piece chapter 1112, quite a lot of focus was thrown on V. Nusjuro. In the chapter where he arrived on Egghead, he cleaned up 25 Mark III Pacifistas immediately, and moments later, fans saw him continue to beat the others as well. In One Piece chapter 1112, Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro destroyed the remaining ones, thanks to the power that he holds.

She is no more than a little 12-year-old, and you gave her the power to destroy nations. Your defiance is as foolish as it is insolent, Vegapunk!

As Nusjuro put himself in the chapter, the Pacifistas hold the power to destroy nations with ease. As such, he only subdued them without dealing any damage, which also plays into him being a very powerful samurai. As was put by Koshiro very early into the series, a true samurai chooses what he wants to cut. As such, he chose not to cut the Pacifistas on purpose and used his ice-related abilities to freeze them instead. He completely immobilized all of them in the chapter, and now, he has an even bigger job at hand.

As seen in One Piece chapter 1112, Nusjuro stood in front of none other than Jewelry Bonney, Franky, and the others, which resulted in a very chaotic situation near the escape point of the Straw Hat Pirates. It must also be noted that the Vice Admirals that were in the path of Bonney and the Straw Hat Pirates have all been dealt with. Franky was able to defeat Red King in the previous chapter with a simple Strong Right, which is embarrassing for a Vice Admiral.

At the same time, Bonney was able to use her age-related powers to beat a few as well, and this just goes to show that this duo has been doing very well. However, against Ethanbaron, this battle is going to be very different and they are going to be on the back foot, most likely in desperate need of help.

One Piece chapter 1112 also gave fans a glimpse of some combat through the likes of Luffy and the Giants. Right now, they are up against two of the Five Elders, and they are Ju Peter and Warcury. Ju Peter has proven to be somewhat underwhelming so far, however, Warcury continues to impress and he did so once again in One Piece chapter 1112.

As fans know, Luffy and the Giants were attempting to escape in the previous chapter. In this week’s chapter, their escape plan was halted by none other than Ju Peter, who used his incredible suction powers to stop them in their place. Luffy was able to counter the suction power by throwing a building at Ju Peter, which got lodged in its throat and prevented it from sucking them up any further. With that, Luffy was completely out of energy and turned into his old state. Once again, Oda has decided to place brakes on Luffy in order to make the situation a bit more difficult for the Straw Hat Pirates.
