Why can this sword be of supreme grade

Although the real name and power of this sword are unknown, due to the fact that Nusjuro has never been seen using the weapon, many fans of the series unanimously believe that he is the wielder of the legendary Shodai Kitetsu.

This can only be speculation until it is confirmed, but it features the same saya wood design and the rounded tsuba cross, both identifying factors for Kitetsu swords.

Gryphon has displayed some of the most impressive feats of strength of any weapon in history. He faced Whitebeard’s Murakumogiri and perhaps even Mihawk’s Yoru, both of which are confirmed to be Supreme Grade weapons.

Along with this, he can also resist Sakazuki’s magma strike , and even has the unique ability to be imbued with a fire aura at Shank’s command.

This weapon is the pirate’s preferred method when it comes to dealing melee damage which he uses to send his enemies flying with just a single hit.

In addition to its terrifying power and incredible strength, the kanabo is a massive weapon made entirely of tough black metal.

This is important because three of the only known Supreme Grade weapons are all made of black metal, and the Hassaikai’s overall strength and durability are enough to warrant a place alongside them.
