His mystical blue energy, known as “Blue Flames of Resurrection,” allows him to heal from injuries, including potentially fatal blows. He can also create this blue flame from any part of his body without transforming into a Phoenix. During the Paramount War at Marineford, Marco repelled Akainu’s hot magma attack when he wanted to obliterate Luffy. His remarkable regenerative ability against top devil fruit users like him allows him to sustain immense injuries and still continue fighting. Also, Marco’s blue flames are unlike regular fires that can burn or harm people; they can inflict damage on an opponent with the pressure or force used.

This was proven when Marco overpowered Big Mom’s Prometheus. Additionally, Marco’s unique devil fruit can also make it seem like he has the characteristics of a Logia user in his full phoenix form. In his full phoenix form, it might look like attacks simply pass through him, but he actually heals so quickly that they simply look like they passed through him without doing anything, akin to a logia.

The Limitations Of Marco’s Devil Fruit
Marco’s Fruits Has Some Weaknesses
Marco’s Devil Fruit’s defense is not absolute due to the existence of Haki since it can bypass some Devil Fruits’ intangibility. In this vein, Haki can bypass the Phoenix regenerative abilities of Marco’s Devil Fruit, making him vulnerable to powerful Haki users, but he can still heal after the point of contact immediately. Besides, like all Devil Fruit users, Marco is susceptible to the debilitating effects of Sea Prism or Seastone, a material that emits a powerful aura similar to the ocean itself. Coming into direct contact with Seastone can weaken Marco’s Devil Fruit, too. Similarly, being submerged in large bodies of standing water, like the ocean, can weaken him considerably.
Moreover, Marco’s regenerative ability is not an instant cure. He can recover from severe injuries, but the process takes time if his stamina is low, leaving him vulnerable during the healing process. This limitation is evident during his clashes in Wano.
