One Piece Theory States Blackbeard Wants to Use Boa Hancock’s Powers To Un-petrify An Army of Warriors.
SUMMARY
Since the end of Wano arc, there has been a lot of upheaval in the ‘One Piece’ universe.
Blackbeard kidnaps Boa Hancock, the Empress of the Amazon Lily, in one of those twists.
According to one current interpretation, Blackbeard may have a larger motivation for stealing Hancock’s powers.
The One Piece world has seen a lot of commotion in the recent chapters. The series has gone through some major revelations and changes that might affect the story later on. Currently, the final saga has begun and although only the first arc is been discussed right now, it has unlocked some major mysteries that Eiichiro Oda foreshadowed.
One Piece – Egghead Arc
However, the recent chapters have also introduced some new twists that although exciting, have confused fans. One of those twists involves Blackbeard kidnapping characters like Pudding and Koby. Another individual that he tried to capture was the captain of Kuja Pirates and the Empress of Amazon Lily, Boa Hancock.
It was initially believed that Blackbeard might be trying to steal the Devil Fruit of Boa Hancock to un-petrify his crewmates, but a recent theory states that Blackbeard might have a bigger motive for stealing Hancock’s powers. According to the theory, Blackbeard wants to use the Devil Fruit’s powers to unlock an army of giants from Cryo sleep.
Boa Hancock’s Devil Fruit Powers
Before the group was dissolved, Boa Hancock was the only female Warlord of the Sea. Hancock’s captors, the Celestial Dragons, forced her and her sisters to eat Devil Fruits as a cruel kind of entertainment while they were slaves. Hancock consumed the Mero Mero no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows her to petrify humans into stone statues as long as they are attracted to her.
She can totally transform someone into stone by hitting them with any of a variety of heart-shaped long-range strikes, or she can partially alter the by striking them physically, only petrifying the region she struck. If she so chooses, she can blow a kiss to make her victims normal again.
Blackbeard Defeats Boa Hancock
There is a possibility that Hancock’s powers can be used to put someone in a sort of Cryo sleep. According to the theory, Blackbeard wants to un-petrify something or someone to use it in the final battle. The most probable thing that fits perfectly for this situation is the army of giant warriors. It would increase Blackbeard’s strength as an individual to the next level.
However, Blackbeard was unable to capture Boa Hancock because of Rayleigh and now it is believed that he is going after the Seraphim version of Boa Hancock as she also has the similar Devil Fruit which is why he sent Van Augur and Devon on Egghead so that they can gain control over the Seraphims.
