One Piece: Why Egghead Could Be a Reprise of Sabaody for the Straw Hats

The Egghead Island arc has proven to be unpredictable in every way, and fans are incredibly excited about each chapter of this story like never before.

Currently, the Straw Hat Pirates face a massive force from the World Government, and this war against Egghead has certainly been unprecedented.

Luffy is, of course, an Emperor of the Sea, and now victory here is necessary for him. If Luffy doesn’t win at Egghead then he will certainly be in trouble, however, although his chances of winning were great until recently, the events that have occurred in the last few chapters have left the Straw Hat Pirates facing more problems than they can handle. .

The Marines around Egghead

The Navy surrounded Egghead Island some time ago. From the beginning of the Egghead Island arc, it was clear to fans that the Straw Hat Pirates would have a direct confrontation with the Navy.

The arrival of the five elders

Near the end of One Piece chapter 1109, Saturn, in an attempt to stop Vegapunk from conveying his message, decided to summon all of the remaining Five Elders.

He did not want this message to be released at any cost, and the five elders knew that the cost of this message being released to the entire world would be too high for them to bear.

As a result, Saturn decided to use his demonic powers to create four giant summoning circles on Egghead.

These gigantic summoning circles were surrounded by enormous flames, and at the same time, black lightning began to erupt from them. It was at this point that it became very clear that all the Elders were coming for Egghead.

Saturn himself is a very powerful individual, and fans have seen him display this in the Egghead Island arc time and time again.

As strong as Luffy is, he couldn’t beat Saturn, due to his incredible regeneration factor, which means that everything Luffy throws at him simply doesn’t work.

Now, Luffy is not facing one of the Five Elders, but all five Elders at once.

10 minutes against these absolutely monstrous individuals will not be easy. And that alone means there’s a high chance Luffy in the Straw Hat Pirates will be defeated.

Many fans may wonder if this will be similar to Sabaody for the team. However, the situation will be a little different. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates will inevitably face defeat at Egghead.

This does not mean that everyone will be defeated in combat. However, in terms of objectives, they will certainly lose. On one hand, their goal was to save Vegapunk and get him out of there. They have already failed in this task, as Vegapunk appears to have already died.

The only thing Luffy and his crew can do is escape and let Vegapunk send his message to the world. This is something they will likely be successful at, however the cost will likely be high.

Luffy cannot defeat all of the members of the Five Elders alone, and as a result, he will likely have to take a backseat to Egghead.

With him, Dorry and Brogy will likely stay behind as well, while the rest of the crew will potentially head to Elbaf.

This is a huge sacrifice that the crew will have to make to ensure their safety and, of course, Vegapunk’s safety as well.

Luffy’s battle against the Five Elders could go either way. If Luffy loses, he could be captured, which would trigger a rescue arc for him.

If he wins, even then, the Straw Hats would have failed in their main objective and would simply have to save face from there.
